10 Jan, Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws to Washington State

16 Mar, Article of Incorporation and Bylaws approved by Washington state

5–6 Nov -- Seattle Center Northwest Rooms. First show under new SEAPEX efforts. 16 dealers, exhibits 108 frames (SEAPEX records)

 

2012:    17 July, BOD approved David Harris to build and maintain SEAPEX website

             26–28 Oct Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. 20 dealers, 142 frames (SEAPEX records)

 

2013:    1-3 Nov, Tukwila Community Center, 12424 – 42nd Avenue South; Tukwila, WA. 15

             dealers, 128 frames (SEAPEX records)

 

2014:    12–14 Sept, Tukwila Community Center. 200 years Star Spangled Banner show

             theme (Fort McHenry Forever Stamp), 21 dealers, 144 frames (SEAPEX records)

 

2015:    Completed four-year probationary period and became a WSP exhibition.

             11–13 Sept, Tukwila Community Center. 75th anniversary “Gallopin’ Gertie” Tacoma

             Narrows Bridge show theme. 26 dealers, 182 frames (SEAPEX records)

 

2016:    9-11 Sept, Tukwila Community Center. 100 years Boeing Aircraft. 28 dealers, 174

             frames (SEAPEX records)

 

2017:    8–10 Sept, Tukwila Community Center. 100th anniversary Fort Lewis (SEAPEX records)

 

2018:    14–16 Sept, Tukwila Community Center. 75th anniversary WAAC (SEAPEX records)

 

2019:    13–15 Sept, Tukwila Community Center. 50th First Manned Moon Landing. 24 dealers,

2020:    8 April, SEAPEX President Jack Congrove unexpectedly passed away.

13 April, Board voted Exhibits Chair Carol Edholm in as the new SEAPEX President.

20 July, David Harris retired as webmaster and Bill Seymour of The Dalles, Oregon, took over maintenance of website. Bill built the Virtual Stamp Show site.

11-13 Sept, SEAPEX Virtual Stamp Show 2020 due to coronavirus (COVID-19). Only second national show (to APS) to hold a virtual stamp show. (SEAPEX records)

 

2021:    10–12 Sept, Tukwila Community Center

Expected to be an in-person show, but can go virtual if a must.

Donations may be tax deductible as per the United States tax code.The purpose of SEAPEX is for educating the public about stamp collecting. The organization sponsors and stages an annual national-level stamp show that includes a large variety of philatelic exhibits and provides a venue for many dealers in stamps, postcards, and other philatelic materials and supplies to offer their wares for purchase by collectors and other interested persons. The exhibition also includes youth activities, Boy Scout merit badge seminars, specialist group meetings, presentations, free stamp evaluations, and other special events.
